Concerned residents of Chulu, Mpomwa, and Chisinga areas in Kasungu District have written to the Minister of Homeland Security, Ezekiel Ching’oma, urging him to address growing security concerns in their communities.
In a letter seen by YFM, which was also copied to Inspector General of Police Merlyn Yolamu, residents highlighted that three people have been brutally murdered by unknown assailants within two months, spreading fear among the locals.
According to Charles Dokera, a representative of the residents, the criminals are specifically targeting motorbikes.
Dokera emphasized the urgent need to strengthen security by engaging local stakeholders, including the police, to identify the root cause of the problem and implement effective measures.
