The government has reaffirmed its commitment to repairing roads and bridges damaged by heavy rains across the country.
Deputy Minister of Transport and Public Works, Peter Dimba, made the announcement in Parliament following concerns from lawmakers about the deteriorating state of infrastructure.
Dimba acknowledged that while the government may construct all the necessary roads and bridges, efforts are underway to carry out maintenance as planned.
He also urged Members of Parliament to use the Community Development Fund (CDF) to support road and bridge repairs in their constituencies, saying this would ease the burden on the government.
