The World Health Organization (WHO) has announced that Malawi has successfully reduced the prevalence of Tuberculosis (TB) cases by 40%.
WHO Country Representative, Dr. Neema Rusibamayila Kimambo, shared this achievement during the commemoration of World TB Day in Lilongwe on Monday.
Dr. Kimambo highlighted that Malawi has also seen a high TB treatment success rate and a significant reduction in the mortality rate.
However, she emphasized the need to accelerate efforts in the fight against TB by reexamining what strategies are working and what areas require improvement.
