Esnarth Priminta joined Youth Net and Counselling in January 2015 as a Radio Announcer. She was responsible for continuity shifts and producing radio programmes. She was promoted to the position of Deputy Chief Reporter in April, 2015.
As a Deputy Chief Reporter, Esnarth is responsible for supervising Reporters, supporting Reporters with logistics in the production of news, editing news stories, compiling news bulletins and conducting supervision sessions with the Reporters.
Esnarth also coordinates Let’s Chill project which focuses on promoting access to sexual and reproductive health and rights information for young people so that they can be able to make informed decisions about their reproductive health.
Esnarth Priminta holds a Diploma in Journalism which she obtained from the Malawi Polytechnic’s Continuing Education Centre-CEC. Currently she is pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Science Marketing at the Malawi Institute of Management-MIM.
Since she joined YONECO, Esnarth has attended a number of short courses on Leadership, proposal development and social media development. Esnarth is so passionate in ensuring that young people are able to access SRH information and services easily.
In addition, Esnarth is also passionate in ending gender based violence by among other things, raising awareness on GBV through radio programmes, news coverage and conducting awareness campaigns through roadshows.
